I’ve lived in Florida my whole life, and I don’t have plans to move anytime soon. But if I ever did move away, I know that I would always be sure to return for the holidays. We might not have the winter wonderland most people associate with Christmastime, but the holidays here are still really special, for quite a few reasons:
1. It's no secret that our winter weather is amazing. You can spend the holidays doing all the things you love to do.
2. Plus, we don't have to waste countless hours on this. We appreciate having more time to spend with family and friends this time of year.
3. And because we don't have to worry about setting up displays in freezing temperatures, you see a lot of beautifully decorated houses.
4. Disney World actually becomes even more magical during the holidays.
5. And at Epcot, you can learn about holiday traditions from all around the world.
6. Here, you can even visit Christmas. Many people travel to this tiny town so that their Christmas cards can be mailed with its postmark.
7. Why not visit the Old Florida town of Apalachicola, where Santa arrives by shrimp boat? We're proud to have our own local traditions.

8. When it comes to decorating, we have our own unique style that can't be beat.
9. And our own kind of Christmas tree, too. For a lifelong Floridian, the holidays would seem strange without them.
10. Last but not least, home is where the heart is (and all of my favorite people and places). There's nowhere else I'd rather be.
Are you coming home (or staying here) for the holidays? What are your favorite things about spending the holidays in Florida?
