One of the most popular caves hikes in the state forest is to Dames Cave, which is about a one-mile loop to see one of the state’s oldest and most secluded caves.
This particular hike is suitable for families with younger kids since it’ll take you from and back to your car, plus the cave itself isn’t exceptionally deep.
It’s been said that if you stand inside Peace Cave, you’ll not only feel the temperature drop, but you should also be able to hear the underground waterways.
Always remember, when you’re exploring caves in Florida to be mindful and careful. Never go off-trail alone and always take a friend/family member. Entering these caves is at your own risk so be cautious when doing so.
