Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind restaurant that has it all: atmosphere, delicious food, great service, and an amazing view? Look no further! This floating restaurant is all of that and more, and it’s destined to become a local landmark.
Just The Cook is a floating "food boat" located in Panama City. Like a floating food truck, Just the Cook serves up unexpectedly elevated cuisine with just a tiny kitchen and limited staff.
When they're not serving boaters as a floating drive-in, Just The Cook can be found docked in the St. Andrews Marina, serving hungry land-dwellers.
Don't let its tiny size fool you. The menu is full of delicious gourmet items, including some of the best burgers in Florida.
One of the most popular items on the menu is the Dan-D Donut Burger, which is served on a donut bun, topped with Canadian bacon, Swiss cheese, blue cheese, and a roasted red pepper.
The menu also features fresh seafood dishes, curry chicken tacos, and a grown-up grilled cheese. Guests are also welcome to grab a free beer to wash it down. It almost sounds too good to be true.
There's extremely limited seating inside, but it makes more sense to sit outside at one of the picnic tables and enjoy the view, anyway.
If you're really lucky, you might get to sit at the VIP table on the upper deck. There's only one table, but the view is spectacular.
You should definitely visit this one-of-a-kind floating restaurant in Florida, but keep in mind that it is a tiny space, and they do sometimes run out of certain items. It's recommended that you call (850) 610-1775 before your visit if you want to make sure something is available.
Have you ever visited Just The Cook in Panama City? What’s your favorite one-of-a-kind restaurant in the Sunshine State?
