If ever you’ve been out exploring the natural wonders in Florida then you’ve probably either heard of have come across quite a few stand-outs. In fact, in case you needed a little incentive to plan a road trip this year, then this Florida Natural Wonders Road Trip would be an excellent choice. Yet, maybe you just want to see one or two to see what all the fuss is about. If that sounds more up your alley, then get ready for the wonderment that is the Blowing Rocks Preserve.
The Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island in Hobe Sound is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in Florida.
The Nature Conservancy works tirelessly to protect this fascinating wonder for all to enjoy for many years to come. While many of the eco-systems are disappearing in Florida, this peaceful barrier island is focusing on native coastal habitat restoration.
When the hide tides come in with force on some days, you can watch the seas break and spray against the rocks, sometimes upwards of 50-feet into the air!
What’s even more unique about this protected space is that rare loggerhead, leatherback, and green turtles call it home, oftentimes laying their eggs right on the beach in the sand.
