Rosana Bentos, hailing from Uruguay, once aspired to be a flight attendant but was discouraged due to her height.
Housed within a modified former Delta Airlines airplane, which was in service from 1990 through 2019, the café has swiftly become a local hotspot within weeks of opening.
Sky Coffee Buenos Aires offers a unique dining experience reminiscent of first-class travel, with extravagant offerings like the Tierra del Fuego "golden coffee," priced at $19.50 and adorned with edible 24K gold, served alongside a gold-covered chocolate truffle.
But of course, there are more affordable options, too, whether a quick espresso will do the trick, or an entire lunch spread.
Customers can place orders inside the cabin and explore the cockpit. Additionally, patrons can collect stamps on a blue-and-gold "passport" for each coffee purchased, with six stamps earning them a free beverage.
While dining inside the plane is not permitted, an outdoor patio provides picturesque views of the sleek black aircraft with the Miami skyline in the distance.
