Is there anything better than a good diner? Simple comfort food classics perfectly prepared on a hot griddle, any time of day or night. There are plenty of good diners in Florida, but if you really want to go back in time in an authentic 1940s dining car (and enjoy a fantastic meal), there’s one you really need to try:
Even though it's surrounded by tall buildings, this adorable little diner feels right at home in Miami Beach's historic Art Deco District.
The authentic dining car was built in Haledon, New Jersey and moved to Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, where it served the community for more than 40 years.
This is a happening city, so the diner is open 24 hours a day, Thursday through Saturday (and until midnight every other day) and has a full bar. Pictured is Grand Marnier Bananas French Toast and two cocktails, the Tropical Daiquiri and the Aperol Spritz.
What kind of diner would it be if it didn't serve some of the best breakfast in town? Just look at this fluffy Belgian waffle topped with fresh strawberries.
