We’re kicking off this creepy caravan with a stop at Palace Saloon in Fernandina Beach. The usual claim to fame for this bar is that it’s the oldest in the state! But, there’s another reason why people visit. As the story goes, there was once an employee of the saloon who had passed but still walks around paying his dues. Charlie not only worked in the saloon but also lived in the back room. When he passed inside that room, that’s when the strange occurrences started. Doors would open and shut with no reason, lights flickered, and even guests reported seeing strange apparitions. Get a glimpse of the photo of Charlie hanging outside of the saloon when you visit and see if you happen to spot his spirit.

Next up on this creepy day trip through Florida is the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Founded back in 1565, St. Augustine has been called the oldest city in the U.S., not to mention perhaps the most haunted place in Florida. The legendary lighthouse, clocking in at 165-feet, has been dubbed by many visitors as being haunted. As legend has it, two children of a lighthouse worker back in the 1800s drowned nearby and their spirits still roam the lighthouse at night. Other visitors have heard mysterious voices or have seen shadowy figures at the top.

Cassadaga, Florida, the "Psychic Capital of the World" has a cemetery nearby that has a very haunted history. Ashley’s Restaurant and Bar in Rockledge has been considered by many to be the most haunted restaurant in Florida!
