Lavender is a popular flowering plant that dates back to ancient times. You’ve surely smelled lavender-scented soaps and lotions. This adorable shop in small-town Florida specializes in lavender products and only lavender products. You’ve got to check it out for youself:
This delightful shop is called Pelindaba Lavender, and it's located at the corner of Centre Street and 4th Street South on Amelia Island.
Lavender has a sweet, pleasant aroma that is supposed to help us relax and fall asleep. But did you know that lavender has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties? It can even be used to repel mosquitos. As an herb, it also lends a unique flavor to foods, both savory and sweet.
Unfortunately, these beautiful blue/purple plants don't grow well in wet, humid weather. We wish they did, because lavender fields are absolutely gorgeous. Luckily, we can still get our fix at this new store in Northeast Florida that specializes in all things lavender.
Pelindaba Lavender is named for the farm the shop's products are sourced from, which is located in Washington. There are other Pelindaba locations in the country, but this is the only one on the East Coast.
The store is full of every product a lavender fan could dream of, including skin care, hair care, fragrances, culinary, household, and pet products, jewelry, art, decor, and more. Everything is packaged in the beautiful purple and blue hues of lavender.
What do you think? Do you know someone who would be in Heaven in this lavender-scented store? What’s your favorite unique place to shop in the Sunshine State?
