With spring right around the corner, there are quite a few flower festivals that are worth exploring. Nothing ushers in a new season quite like indulging in a festival of flowers that are in full bloom and ready to be enjoyed. This particular festival in Flamingo Gardens takes place in April, and is one of the most unique and special flower festivals this state has ever seen.
Many visitors trek to the beautiful Flamingo Gardens every year to enjoy the flourishing plant life and burgeoning wildlife.
But most of all, guests to this 60-acre, not-for-profit wildlife sanctuary, aviary and botanical garden come to check out the stunning neon pink flamingos that call this area home.
However, every year Flamingo Gardens holds an event that brings in visitors from all over the world to enjoy some of the rarest and most beautiful orchids and bromeliads around.
This year, the Orchid & Bromeliad Show at Flamingo Gardens takes place from April 20th through April 21st, and offers up spectacular displays of these wonderful plants for all to see.
Not only will you have admission to the gardens through the event, but also access to the demonstrations, lectures, orchid supplies, and live music, too.
In its 38th year, the Orchid & Bromeliad Show brings together over 30 different vendors who will feature their rare and exotic orchids and bromeliads for everyone to enjoy.
There will even be an American Orchid Society judged orchid show hosted by Flamingo Gardens Orchid Society to recognize the top growers and flowers at the festival.
