What the most amazing places to visit in Florida?
Obviously, “amazing” is totally subjective and ultimately up to you, however, we’d be lying if we said Florida isn’t home to truly amazing places. Obviously, you have your more obvious answers, like the Everglades, or the Florida Keys (and really, you should still definitely go see those at some point), but definitely don’t go discounting the spots you might not hear about so often! Some of our favorite breathtaking Florida places you’ve got to visit before you die include places like Boneyard Beach, on Big Talbot Island, where you can see numerous decaying skeletons of old trees and driftwood peppering the beach. There is also Dry Tortugas National Park, which goes criminally under-visited every year. It really all depends on your personal preferences and what kind of paradise you’re looking for; you might just find it here.
Are there any beautiful places in Florida?
Absolutely! Florida is an incredibly beautiful (and very unique) state with plenty to do and marvel at while you’re here. We’re home to 11 National Parks, which are all absolutely breathtaking, and more than 170 State Parks (whew!), each of which you’ll definitely need to make a day trip out of. In terms of man-made beauty, the Overseas Highway to the Florida Keys is simply stunning, and you’ll love the photogenic perfection of the Ringling Mansion in beautiful Sarasota. Explore any of our quaint small towns and discover more beauty there, and of course, you can’t miss the breathtaking splendor that is the Everglades.
What kind of hidden Florida gems can I look for?
Florida is a large state, and you know what that means: large numbers of offbeat, hidden-gem things to do! Falling Waters State Park is often overlooked, but it features the tallest (and one of the only) waterfall in Florida. Santa Rosa beach often goes ignored in favor of more famous beaches, but the nearby artists’ collective of Gulf Place is a can’t-miss. Craving a list of inspiration for hidden Florida treasures?
