In fact, Florida now has the second-highest population in the U.S., with over 20 million people. Whether you like living in a large, vibrant city or a slow-paced small town, our state is a huge draw for so many reasons, starting with its striking natural beauty. No matter where you live in Florida, you might have noticed the rapid growth. It’s happening all over the place. Population growth isn’t the only important factor, though. A growing economy also lets you know that a town is booming. The personal finance site WalletHub took both of those factors into account in its research. It turns out that these are the top 10 fastest-growing cities in Florida :
1. Lehigh Acres
This census-designated place in Lee County went from a population of 86,784 in 2010 to 106,747 in 2016. That statistic makes it the third fastest-growing city in the country. Once you go to

2. Fort Myers
The nearby city of Fort Myers ranked 14th in the nation on the list, with a 2010 population of 62,298. The estimated current population is around 74,000.

This census-designated place in Hillsborough County experienced insane population growth in the '70s and '80s. 4. Miramar

The population of this city in Northeast Florida more than doubled from 2000 to 2010, and it continued to grow from 75,180 to an estimated 82,893 in 2015, making it the 28th fastest-growing city in the country.

The next up and coming Florida town on this list is the city of over 400 miles of canals, Cape Coral, in Lee County. It comes in at #43, which grew from 154,305 in 2010 to an estimated 181,211 in 2015. There are lots of reasons that people are moving to

7. Port St. Lucie
This city in Southeast Florida is the largest in St. Lucie County, with an estimated population of over 179,000 in 2015, up from 164, 603 five years before. It's the 142nd most populous city in the country, and the 46th fastest-growing one.
