The population of this city in Northeast Florida more than doubled from 2000 to 2010, and it continued to grow from 75,180 to an estimated 82,893 in 2015, making it the 28th fastest-growing city in the country.
The next up and coming Florida town on this list is the city of over 400 miles of canals, Cape Coral, in Lee County. It comes in at #43, which grew from 154,305 in 2010 to an estimated 181,211 in 2015. There are lots of reasons that people are moving to Cape Coral, Florida in droves.
This city in Southeast Florida is the largest in St. Lucie County, with an estimated population of over 179,000 in 2015, up from 164, 603 five years before. It's the 142nd most populous city in the country, and the 46th fastest-growing one. Port St. Lucie, Florida is so fabulous that people are moving there like crazy.
This city located just south of Palm Beach County is in the Miami metropolitan area. The city's population grew 6.3% from 2010 to 2015, making it the 51st fastest-growing city in the U.S. It's easy to see why everyone wants to live in Deerfield Beach, Florida- just look at that gorgeous ocean!
It probably comes as no surprise that this huge city in Central Florida is growing. From 2000 to 2015, the population grew by almost 100,000 people, with current estimates around 271,000 people. It's the fourth-largest city in Florida and the 73rd largest in the country, but only the 72nd fastest-growing in the country currently. From Disneyworld to booming business, there are plenty of great reasons to love Orlando, Florida.
The last entry on our list comes in at #72 on the national list, and is part of the Miami metropolitan area. It has a very high population density of 4,672 people per square mile and had an estimated population of 162,379 in 2013. Pembroke Pines is known as one of the happiest cities in Florida.
