For this trip, you can take the “Hidden Gem” meaning a little literally. This beach doesn’t seem to have a name, but all the slices of beach nearby are named Woodland Beach, so it doesn’t seem like this one should be different. Hidden on a side bit of trail, this slice of beach is nestled away from the rest of the area. Come enjoy a bit of peace and quiet sometime out here in nature.
Today's adventure takes everyone out to a little known strip of beach at the end of a hiking trail. Ready for an adventure?
This easy 5.7-mile trail will take you out and back, running along the water for a good while. However, with a small detour, you can find a hidden slice of beach near the opening of the Smyrna River that's got great views of the water.
With wildflowers in the right seasons and plenty of local waterfowl from the nearby wetlands, this slice of heaven is always a great place to spot wildlife. Bring those binoculars!
Thanks to a mostly level path and to-the-point trail, this hike is easy for most hikers. Make sure you bring everything back with you that you brought, it helps preserve the natural state of things here.
Bring plenty of tick protection out here, too. You might have to leave your four legged friends at home if you don't want to remove ticks from their fur afterwards. So close to the wetlands, there's more little bugs around.
Don’t you think this area is beautiful? All that natural wildlife out at this Woodland Beach strip is bound to keep things interesting. Check out the full trail map on AllTrails.
