Have you ever attended the Winterthur Point to Point? If you haven’t, you might not even know that Delaware has its own exclusive, exquisite Derby Day! Forget the First Saturday in May, Delawareans look forward to the First Sunday in May all year long. The event has been going strong for 39 years, and it is the ultimate way to celebrate Spring in the First State.
Dig up your favorite sunhat, because the Point-to-Point is a great excuse to get dressed up!
Tailgate parking spaces put you right in the action, and though it's a bit of a luxury (up to $250 for the best spaces), it's certainly a once-in-a-lifetime event! Plan a tailgate party at Winterthur with friends to make it more affordable.

General Admission is the way the majority of spectators participate in the day.
General admission wristbands include access to every race-day activity, free parking, and access to the infield for picnicking! You can go all-out for your infield picnic and make it a big family event. You can buy tickets online or by phone at 800.448.3883. Online Sales close on 4/28, so hurry up and order your wristband! Tickets are cheaper when you order early - you're not too late for the $30 adult general admission (March 1–April 28). After the 28th, the cost goes up to for $50 adult general admission. If you're under 21, your ticket only costs $15, and kids under 12 can get in for free! They still need a wristband prior to race day.

Whichever way you choose to enjoy the races, you'll be up close to the action!
There are point to point steeplechase races with some of the top equine athletes in the country! Get up close to galloping hooves and howling hounds for the hunt race, too.
Stick horse races and pony rides are available for kids of all ages, and they can get their faces painted, too! Don't forget Fido - there are plenty of canine-friendly activities for your vaccinated, well behaved pup to enjoy. Learn more and order tickets on the Point to Point Website, here. Once you've got your ticket, it's off to the races you'll go!
