They're meticulously maintained over the 60 acres they take up, featuring stunning French landscape architecture and a fairy garden for children. The grounds at Winterthur are among the most stunning in the state, but the home itself is the real treasure.

Almost every one of the 175 rooms is available to tour Monday–Sunday, 10:00 am–5:00 pm. Plan to be lost in the mansion for hours - in fact, the last house tour tickets are sold at 3:15, because the museum staff knows you'll be exploring for a while.
Each room is decorated as it was when it was originally inhabited.
