The White Clay Creek Trail is one of northern Delaware's most scenic and historic hiking routes. It's located within White Clay Creek State Park.
William Penn first set this boundary in the 1890s, and after much debate, it was decided that the PA, MD, and DE borders would be set based on the radius of a 12 mile circle.
The center of the circle was the New Castle County Courthouse, and the survey team traveled to make a monument that now lives inside White Clay Creek State Park.
