Walter's Is An Old-School Steakhouse In Delaware That Hasn't Changed In Decades
John Walter Constantinou, owner of Walter’s Steakhouse, served up his first meal at the fine-dining establishment in the Little Italy neighborhood of Wilmington, Delaware, in September 1993. But his family’s history in the restaurant business stretches back much farther.
Back in 1941, John’s grandparents, John and Sophie Constantinou, opened their first eatery in Wilmington. The love of serving up meals was subsequently passed on to John’s father, George Constantinou.
As the latest family member to satiate appetites in Wilmington, John has carved out a reputation of serving up top-of-the-line beef and other menu items. The restaurant also has become noted for its selection of fine wines.
