Tubing in Delaware on a lazy river is one of the most relaxing things we can do on a hot summer day! It’s probably my favorite summertime activity. 1. Brandywine Creek

Have you been on the hunt for "river tubing near me?" You've just found one of the best places to go river tubing in Delaware! The Brandywine is the top choice for anyone looking for a relaxing float down one of Delaware's lazy rivers. Drop in at Thompson's Bridge and for some lazy river tubing until you're ready to call it a day. Just be sure to have a car ready to bring you back to the parking lot!

2. Nanticoke River

The Nanticoke is one of the most paddleable rivers around, and on the right day, it makes for one of the best floats in Delaware as well. Check conditions, because on a rough day, this wouldn't be a great place to be stuck in a tube. It's one of the largest tributaries to the Chesapeake Bay. It’s the perfect place to spend a summer day on a lazy river in Delaware.

3. Leipsic River

The Leipsic River is a quieter river. Drop in at Garrison's Lake in Dover (near Route 13 and Messina Hill Rd) and float down the Leipsic until you're ready to get out... or until you reach Sambo's Tavern! Floating down this relaxing river is like a dream.

Floating down the Mispillion River is just one of the many adventures you can have in Milford this summer! Go for a quick flat and then have lunch along the banks of the beautiful river after ordering takeout from one of the town's quaint cafes. There's also a lovely river walk here that's one of the best in the state.

There are a few places to drop in the Christina River, and if you're in a tube, you're better off choosing one that's further from Wilmington. Newport Boat Ramp or Churchman's Crossing are both great spots to start your journey on this historic river.

6. Blackbird Creek Reserve

Blackbird Creek Reserve has more of a reputation for being a paddling river, but you'll enjoy yourself on a tube as well. It's one of the best places for Delaware river tubing. Keep an eye out for rare birds and lots of wildlife and enjoy the water safari in this protected tract of land.
