Bethany Beach is a great family resort town, and one of the most popular places to stay is the ideally located Addy Sea Bed & Breakfast. But did you know that the landmark hotel has a bit of a dark secret?
The Addy Sea B&B in Bethany Beach has been a landmark for decades.
There are 13 rooms here, and three are known to be the "haunted" rooms. In #1, the bathtub shakes for no apparent reason. In Room 6, organ music fills the air. Room 11 is a guest favorite, where the jacuzzi tub turns on and phones suddenly turn off. It is said to be haunted by an original employee of The Addy Sea Inn.
How cool is it to stay in such a historic, haunted hotel? If you are lucky, you'll see or hear a ghost running through the halls at night or footsteps on the roof.
The staff here is friendly, and they embrace their spooky history.
The best part of a stay at the Addy Sea, aside from your ghostly encounter, is the delicious breakfast that starts your day. You'll also note the accommodating nature of the staff makes the Addy Sea a great choice for any beach vacationer.
The location can't be beat, and you're just steps away from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
