The next time you get a hankering for some crab, you’ve got to visit The Surfing Crab. Located in Lewes, the eatery has been serving up all-you-can-eat crab, along with other tasty seafood dishes, for more than 10 years. Take a look:
This is The Surfing Crab. It’s fittingly located in Lewes, where "sun, the sand, and the sea are still the number one attractions."
The Surfing Crab may have opened in 2008, but owner Donald Vechery has been in the business of seafood since the age of nine, when he began working in his father’s crab house.
Sure to quench your crab craving, the All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feast is $49 per person and includes hushpuppies, fries, coleslaw, and all the crab you can eat, of course.
Oh, and no sharing, of course. This shouldn’t be a hard rule to follow, though. The crabs are so good, the last thing you’ll want to do is give them away.
A crab house through and through, The Surfing Crab is a no-frills type of place. Expect brown paper on the tables and the sound of mallets pounding away on crabs.
The Surfing Crab is open Monday – Friday 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. Remember, it’s closed on Tuesdays in September. For more information, call (302) 644-4448. You can also visit The Surfing Crab website or Facebook page.
