These 7 Mouth-Watering Steakhouses in Delaware Are A Carnivore's Dream
Most people don’t think about Delaware as foodie heaven, but then again, most people don’t think about Delaware as anything other than a short stretch of 95 between Philly and Baltimore, or as a drive-through state to get to our great beaches… I digress. Our little state has proven time and time again that some of the best restaurants in the Mid Atlantic are hiding in Delaware’s small cities and towns, so it shouldn’t surprise you that some of the best steakhouses can be found in the First State. These are steakhouses which will never disappoint you – a true cut above the rest! Make your next date night a truly memorable one, or celebrate your birthday or special occasion at any of these incredible, high class steakhouses in Delaware.
This list is not a ranking, by the way, just a collection of some of the finest restaurants in Delaware, where you’ll find the meal of a lifetime. Let us know which ones you’ve tried in the comments!

What to Order: The Sure Thing. Start with a Wedge or Ceasar Salad, and then choose the Filet Bordelaise with garlic horseradish mashed potatoes for your entree. Top it off with Black Velvet Cake for a delicious meal.
5525 Concord Pike Wilmington, DE

What to Order: Start with the Scallop Chips - they're unique and a great, light way to start the meal. For your steak, you can't miss The Barrel. It's a cut that 1776 is famous for, 10oz of juicy, flavorful steak served with potatoes and fresh vegetables. Oh, and I'm such a dessert person that I can never skip their creme brulee.
18585 Coastal Hwy Ste 6 Rehoboth Beach, DE

Wha to Order: You've got to start with a selection of oysters on the half from their raw bar - I love the Potters Moon and Salt Aire variations. Order yourself one of Harry's famous Prime Rib Au Jus for your meal - my mouth is watering just thinking about it! They've truly perfected the prime rib. Harry's has a rotation of delicious desserts available, so ask to see a menu when you get there.
2020 Naamans Rd Wilmington, DE

What to Order: Go for the prix fixe; you won't be disappointed. If you want a more traditional selection, start off with flash-fried calamari, indulge in a filet mignon, and finish off with one of their fresh dessert offerings.
100 Continental Dr Newark, DE

What to Order: I'm traditional, so I usually start with a Ceasar salad. If you're looking for a more substantial starter, their seared scallops are heavenly, and the cheesesteak spring rolls are some of the best I've ever had. For your entree, get the Tomahawk Chop if they have it - if they don't, you can never go wrong with their NY Strip Steak. It is SO flavorful! Their unique S'mores Bread Pudding is a great way to wrap up your meal.
400 Lantana Dr Hockessin, DE

What to Order: If you go on a Raw Bar night, load up! Their oysters on the half are delicious and SO fresh. Otherwise, start with one of their crabcakes or their rotating cheese board. For your entree, you've go to have a Delmonico here. It's probably the best Delmonico Steak I've had - and I've been to DelMonico's in Manhattan! Round it all off with a Cheesecake or slice of their Chocolate Cake.
802 N Union St, Wilmington, DE

What to Order: Their seasonal soup is always a great way to start here, and they've got traditional steakhouse salads that are farm fresh! You should spring for the Surf n Turf - the lobster tail is delicious and the filet is perfectly prepared. Add one of the 10 unique sauces and toppings that they offer, and you're set. You can also create your own 'surf n turf' by combining your favorite cut with jumbo lump crab meat, crab cakes, jumbo shrimp and more. Their dessert selection varies, but it's all delicious.
1131 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE
