Did you know that Delaware was once at the bottom of the ocean? If you do a little digging, both through the dunes and through the history books, you’ll find out that much of the sand along Bethany Beach dates back to the Pleistocene era. While Bethany undergoes beach replenishment and not all of the sand is millions of years old, this quiet Atlantic Ocean beach is known for being a great place to look for shark teeth in Delaware.
Head to this peaceful beach town to track down shark teeth in Delaware. If you don’t have any luck searching for yourself, you can likely find a few hiding in gift shops downtown.
