You don’t have to take a road trip to the coast and fight with the crowds in the summertime if you’re trying to track down delicious seafood in Delaware. While many people know about landmark local upstate crab shacks, like Kathy’s or Sambo’s, there are a lot of First State foodies overlooking a hidden gem right in the middle of Kent County – Cool Springs Fish Bar. This classy dining room serves delicious seafood in Dover and is worth a visit.
Cool Springs Fish Bar is a humble hole-in-the-wall that serves up some of the best seafood you'll ever taste.
The menu features fresh fish and shellfish, prepared to order and packed with all of the flavors you've come to expect from elegant, gourmet seafood restaurants. Try their Swordfish au Poivre or Pan Fried Rockfish for a treat.
You'll also find a variety of chops and cuts on the menu, so if someone in your party isn't a big seafood eater, there is sure to be something they'll love.
Wrap up your meal with a slice of pie or cake from their bakery. They rotate seasonally - but if their Heaven and Hell cake is on the menu, that's one you can't pass up.
