Brandywine Branch Trail is an easy walking trail near Wilmington, Delaware that features some beautiful scenery. The trail is paved and follows along Brandywine Creek. You’ll see interesting rock formations, flowers and a waterfall. The area is wooded and offers lots of opportunities for recreation. After your walk or bike on the trail, you can choose to hang out in the park and picnic, visit a rose garden, or rock climb nearby.
Brandywine Branch Trail is about 2.6 miles long and is an out and back trail.
The garden was planted during the Great Depression to create jobs and enhance the beauty of Wilmington. Many types of roses grow here among other flowers and plants.
Also located in Brandywine Park is the Brandywine Zoo.
There is actually an area for rock climbing here but you must have a rock climbing permit. They are free and can be obtained from one of the Wilmington State Parks offices.
