The Christmas Village In Delaware That Becomes Even More Magical Year After Year
Historic New Castle is one of the best preserved colonial towns in America. This 17th century neighborhood hosts events year-round and is home to the only place in Delaware where you can truly step back in time and experience a colonial evening – Jessop’s Tavern. During the holidays, the entire village turns into a Christmas wonderland. On December 9th, join the town for their Spirit of Christmas celebration, with carolers and performers in the streets, and historic home tours.
The official Spirit of Christmas Celebration is on Saturday, December 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tour the decorated private homes and churches, sing along with carolers, and enjoy street performers while you sip hot cocoa. Start your day at the New Castle Presbyterian Church, 25 E. 2nd Street. For more information, call the church at 302-328-3279. Be sure to stop by the Amstel House and Dutch House for tours and performances!
