Slower, Lower Delaware is mostly known for farmland. In some areas, fields and farms stretch as far as the eye can see! One little town in the heart of Sussex County is known for having the best Mexican food in the state, despite being a bit in the middle of nowhere. While there are a lot of good Mexican restaurants and cantinas in Georgetown, Sol Azteca truly serves up some of the best food you’ll ever get to try.
Sol Azteca is easy to spot - the building truly stands out, and the colorful sign is sure to grab your attention.
Step inside and you'll be whisked away to a dreamy cantina. The decor is decidedly Mexican, and there are bright colors and smiling faces everywhere you look.
You'll have a hard time deciding which entrees to order! The menu is packed with all sorts of choices. Of course, the tacos are a local favorite, and you can order them with a protein of your choice.
You can't go wrong with an order of fajitas, either. The shrimp fajitas are particularly popular, but the beef and chicken ones are both packed with flavor, too.
No matter what you order, whether it be your longtime favorite or you're branching out to try something new, one thing is certain: you're going to LOVE every single bite.
If you've managed to save room for dessert, you can enjoy a selection of sweet pastries that make for a delightful after dinner treat. Sopapilla, fried ice cream, cheese cake, flan, and xangos are just some of the desserts that Sol Azteca features regularly.
