If you’re looking for a great hike near the beach in Delaware, head to Milton! The Edward H. McCabe Preserve has been a paradise for nature lovers since 1993. This beautiful park offers kayak docks and hiking trails, and you’re sure to find some peace and quiet here in the woods along the Broadkill River.
The Edward H. McCabe Preserve is the most-visited of the Nature Conservancy's public preserves. Still, it remains a tucked-away slice of paradise for any nature lover in Delaware.
This beautiful stretch of land along the Broadkill River was donated to the Nature Conservancy in 1993, and since then, TNC has been working to keep this land pristine for future generations.
Along the way, you'll spot all sorts of flora and fauna! It's common to see snakes here, and it's one of the best places in Delaware to go mushroom hunting.
If you're a fan of winter weather, head to the McCabe Preserve after a fresh snowfall. It's a winter wonderland, and you'll love the scenes you encounter.
