Though it’s only February, I can’t help but look forward to summer. These short but warm days are such a tease when we’re months away from lounging on the shore with a good book and beach towel. No matter what time of year it is, though, Delawareans love to head to the coast – for shopping, dining, or just to relax. When it comes to naming the best Delaware beach town, everyone has their own opinions. However, there are reasons that millions flock to Rehoboth Beach every year, and that the town has been called the Nation’s Summer Capital for years.
Nearly everyone in Delaware can recognize the iconic Rehoboth Beach bandstand.
This landmark has been a gathering space for Delawareans for decades. Here, you'll often find live entertainment in the spring and summer, and around Christmastime, it lights up with the state's largest tree.
This charming town is more than just the bandstand, though. There are SO many reasons to love Rehoboth.
Most of them head right for Rehoboth. Can you blame them? We all love Rehoboth, too! I'm already longing for a warm spring day where I can lie out in the sun with a book and just enjoy the sound of the ocean.

In the spring and summer, you'll find farmers' markets, sidewalk sales, festivals and more all throughout town.
No wonder most people consider Rehoboth Beach to be the best beach town in Delaware! There's always something happening, and it's fun for the entire family.
