Delaware’s small towns are all hiding culinary secrets that the locals keep to themselves. Sometimes, though, our favorite corner pubs are too good to keep quiet about – and there’s one new spot in Delaware City that has taken the state by storm. The boldly named Lewinsky’s on Clinton has become known for their creative takes on classic dishes, their homemade meats and sauces, and their sense of humor when it comes to both decor and drink naming. If you haven’t been there yet, you’ve got to make the trip!
Please note, Lewinsky’s on Clinton has permanently closed.
Lewinsky's on Clinton is located at 92 Clinton Street in Delaware City.
When it comes to food, it's hard to beat this local favorite, which is a cross between a trendy gastropub and an artisenal deli. Many of their foods are made from scratch right in the kitchen including their pastrami, pierogies, corned beef, sauerkraut, and brisket! Be sure to try a reuben if you're really hungry.
On the drink menu, you'll find cleverly named libations such as their Blue Dress Martini.

Vegetarians will feel appreicated, too, as their "Beyond Burger" offers a veggie and gluten free option that's more than just a boring burger.
While not every Beyond Burger is gluten free, they can certainly prepare it for you! For those who are vegetarian, you might appreciate their creations that include chipotle mayo, cheddar cheese, fresh avocado and delicious house pickled jalapeños.
They serve up tasty dishes, like this chicken tinga brunchy burrito! You can order a specialty Bloody Mary, too - like this Scrappy Mary made with Rapa Scrapple.
If you prefer to have a little creative control over your cocktails, their seemingly endless Bloody Mary bar is right up your alley.
The menu here is far from ordinary, and even the pickiest eaters can appreciate their twists on classic dishes. If you're here for lunch or dinner, try their jaeger fries or their crispy whiskey chicken. No other pub in the state can brag about the delicious house-made sauces and sides that Lewinsky's kitchen turns out!
Whether you're here for Sunday Brunch, weekday lunch, or a great dinner out with friends, one thing's for certain - Lewinsky's on Clinton is one of the most fun pubs in the entire state.
