1. Trap Pond was one of Delaware's first state parks and this photo from 1937 shows just how popular it was.
This beautiful park in Laurel is still a popular picnic destination today.

Other than the bathing suits, it really doesn't look much different than the last beach fish fry I attended!

Our small Kent County fishing towns have always been easygoing and welcoming.

Back then, medicine wasn't nearly as complex of a field as it is today, but the physicians did their best to keep Delawareans healthy.
6. The Episcopal Church in Lewes is one of the most historic buildings in the state.

The Tower Hill School was an elite Wilmington institution that welcomed students from ages 3 to 18.

Here, you can see a migrant worker in his barracks. Delaware's agricultural industry was built on the backs of traveling workers who kept the fields growing and helped produce get shipped after harvest.
