It’s finally feeling like spring and summer in Delaware, and with this beautiful weather comes beautiful ways to spend the day outside! To help welcome the season, head over to Fifer Orchards to pick your own berries and kick off spring in the best way possible.
Fifer Orchards is a First State landmark, and it's located in Wyoming, Delaware.
Maybe you'll whip up the best strawberry jam ever, and create a homemade pretzel salad. Or perhaps you'll bake a pie - one delicious enough to be compared to JP's on the Wharf.
Fifer Orchards is holding their annual Strawberry Festival on May 19.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and it features live music, farm activities for kids and families, and of course plenty of tasty food! Learn more about the festival right here.
If you love the idea of fresh Delaware fruits and veggies but don't want to get your hands dirty, you can always sign up for Fifer's CSA Box.
This Community Supported Agriculture Box lets you enjoy all of Fifer's freshest produce without having to sift through the leaves yourself. You can read about the Delmarva Box CSA right here.
Many people flock to Fifer for their fall festivities, but this Delaware orchard is just as much fun in the spring! Dig those pie tins out of the cupboard and spend a few days making tasty fruit pies with the fresh fruits you’ll pick here – your family will love you even more!
