There are so many great BBQ places in Delaware, from Charlie K’s on the way to the beach, Russell’s in the heart of Wilmington, and even Mission BBQ, in Dover. To find some of the best brisket you’ll ever try, though, you’ve got to travel off of the beaten path a bit, to Fat Daddy’s just outside of Georgetown.
Fat Daddy's BBQ is located on Route 404 in Georgetown.
From the outside, it does not look like much. You will know you have found paradise when the smell of smoked meat hits you the moment you step out of your car.

When you walk inside, you'll be greeted by the nicest people you'll ever meet, and the smell of a smoker that has been running for hours.
Hand cut fries, stewed tomatoes, collards, potato salad and of course mac and cheese... these are the things that set a great BBQ stand apart from the rest.
You definitely want to try Mama Freys famous cornpone.
