When it comes to sweets, Delaware is hard to beat. We’re a huge name in the Ice Cream game, with creameries, dairy farms, and ice cream shops pretty much everywhere you look. However, anyone with a sweet tooth knows that there’s more to the Delaware dessert scene than just a few scoops! If you’re looking for a treat, try any of these seven famous Delaware desserts.
Blue Moon's "Moon Pie" is a gigantic slice of ice cream cake that can easily feed the whole table. Be sure to save room, because this may be the most epic dessert in Delaware.
Please note, The Buttery is no longer in business.
The Buttery in Lewes is famous for their carefully created desserts. You'll notice every single detail, from the carefully placed toppings to the perfect drizzle and plating.
The Backyard is home to one of the best bakeries in Delaware. While I could eat just about anything here and be happy, there's something special about their Dr. Pepper Cake.
Piccolino Toscana's head pastry Chef Jaybe creates the most interesting desserts! If you can find it, try her coffee donut pudding. Even the donuts are homemade!
Mug and Spoon is a coffee shop with a super sweet twist. Their milkshakes are beyond amazing, and you can probably count one as your whole meal. Chocolate lovers, in particular, will be in heaven.
There's more than just gelato served here - this italian restaurant has been a town landmark for years. However, you've got to save room for a scoop! They make all of their gelato in-house.
The elegant Green Room is home to some of the fanciest desserts in Delaware. While their neopolitan is the most famous (next to their macaroons!), your sweet tooth will go crazy for just about anything the pasty chef is whipping up!
