Some parts of Delaware culture may seem a little odd to outsiders, but they’re sure to get us fired up. Here are a few things that First State residents may never agree on – where do you stand on the issues?

Some of us love a stroll in the winter. Others wait all year for Local Summer, in September. And of course, there's always the crowd that lays out on the beach like lobsters from May through August, soaking up the sun.

Between Lums Pond, Killens Pond, and Trap Pond, it's typical of Delawareans to have a favorite state park and to enjoy paddling out all summer long.

Those of us who love the "bay beach" part of Delaware culture will fiercely defend our favorite spots to swat away greenheads and rescue horseshoe crabs.

Woody's in Dewey Beach is the obvious answer here...but some people continue to insist that Sambo's, Kathy's, or even Big Fish Grill have the best crabcakes around.

Finally, the real question - where does slower lower start? Most people who grew up in the First State will tell you it begins at the canal, but there are still plenty of people who don't consider any of New Castle County to be lower... and others who insist that it's called "Lower Slower." Weird!
