Yorklyn is a little community on the outskirts of Wilmington, and it makes for a great day trip destination. Visit the Ashland Covered Bridge, take a hike through Oversee Farm, visit the Marshall Steam Musuem at Auburn Valley State Park, or spend some time in the Center for the Creative Arts. On Sundays in the summer, the center hosts an outdoor farmers market!
2. Georgetown

Georgetown was once the capital of Delaware, and it is packed with history. The Circle is still the center of town, and if you're looking for a relaxing getaway, book a stay at the Brick Hotel on the Circle and spend the weekend walking around and learning about Delaware's early history.
