Delaware is not always the first state that comes to mind when you think of wildlife – after all, we’re a densely populated, overdeveloped state. However, thanks to the work of conservationists, we are home to two National Wildlife Refuges – the largest of which is Bombay Hook. Check out all that this beautiful backyard oasis is hiding in plain sight.
Address: 2591 Whitehall Neck Road, Smyrna, DE 19977
Visit Bombay Hook any time from dusk to dawn. There’s a self-guided auto tour that will show off the best of the park! For more information, visit the FWS website, here.
