When most people think about exploring Delaware’s parks, visits to Lums Pond, Trap Pond, or even White Clay Creek spring to mind. One of the most underrated places in Delaware, though, is actually the best park in Wilmington. Have you visited Rockford Park recently?
Rockford Park in Delaware is one of the most interesting spots in the state. It's scenic, historic, and sprawling. No wonder many call it the best park in Wilmington.
The coolest part about a visit to Rockford Park, though, isn't the sledding hill or the scoops of Mint Chocolate Chip. It's the fact that on certain days, the historic tower is open for climbing!
You'll have to check on the Rockford Park website to see exactly when the tower is open, and plan your visit for one of those times. The views of Wilmington are absolutely breathtaking!
Mark your calendar now for your next visit to Rockford Park. You'll love spending a day out in the fresh air, and you might get to enjoy the best view in the First State.
