Delaware is a great place for foodies, but sometimes it feels like our state’s cuisine is focused around seafood. If you’re more of a carnivore, there’s no reason to feel left out! You just need to know where to look, and you’ll find great burgers and steaks right here in the First State. If you’re trying to find the best burger in Newark, Delaware, make it a point to visit Klondike Kate’s right on Main Street. Your tastebuds will thank you.
Klondike Kate's is a landmark restaurant on Newark's Main Street. The building has been standing for more than 270 years!
Some people think that the nachos here are the best in Delaware. There are five different platters to choose from, including Kate's Original, Buffalo or BBQ Chicken, the Inner Harbor or the Trash Can.
You can't go wrong with their wings, eggrolls, fried foods, salads, or any of the entrees on the menu. There's something for even the pickiest eater to enjoy.
Kate's is most famous for their burgers. There are five specialty burgers to choose from, including the Main Street, Quinoa Veggie, Texas Burger, the Sunny Side, and the outrageous "Call an Uber."
The "Uber" is the largest and best burger in Newark. A whole pound of beef is topped with onion rings, applewood smoked bacon, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, chipotle aioli, served on a brioche bun. Can you finish it all?
