Delaware is home to many beautiful estates that have been donated to become parks, museums, or other places where the public can experience the history and beauty of the First State. Auburn Heights is one of these spots, and it was recently added to the roster of Delaware state parks! Visit Auburn Valley State Park to see this little slice of paradise for yourself.
Auburn Valley State Park is Delaware's newest state park, and it offers acres of beauty surrounding the former Auburn Valley Estate.
The 360 acres of preserved land encompasses the Marshall estate and several of the mills they used to own in Yorklyn. You'll find plenty of reminders of the family's industrial past as you explore.
Check the calendar to see when the next Steamin' Day is, and you'll be able to check out vintage cars, engines, and a small-scale ride-on steam engine train.
Whether you stop in to Auburn Valley for a trip back in time on a steam engine car, or you pop in for a bike ride or peaceful walk, you'll find your own slice of paradise right here in New Castle County.
