There’s nothing more interesting than spending a day in the village of Arden, Delaware. This unique, utopian village was founded by architects and poets, and to this day, retains an artsy charm that’s hard to find elsewhere. Each September, the town opens its door to show off its character during the Arden Fair. This year is the 111th year the fair will be run!
Arden is the most unique village in Delaware, and if you've never visited, it's worth learning a little more about the town.
Arden is an old fashioned utopian town, and the community is supported by "gilds." The Gilds in Arden include the Concert Gild, Dinner Gild, Library Gild, Shakespeare Gild and more. Every day they come together to put on an old fashioned village fair that is sure to delight you.
Thousands of Delawareans flock to Arden on the first Saturday in September to celebrate the village.
The Arden Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and during the Fair's hours you will find countless things to explore. Enjoy shopping through over 120 vendor stalls, listening to free live music, strolling through an art exhibit, and snacking on kettle corn and other fair food all day long.
