Life in Delaware is a little different than life anywhere else. We aren’t quite caught up in the Northeast hustle of Jersey, Philadelphia, and New York City… but we aren’t too far removed from it, either. Half of our state is urban, half is rural, and the demographics are pretty varied from town to town. Despite all of the differences you’ll find in Delaware, there are a few Delaware habits that you’ll consistently notice as you drive through the state. If you find yourself doing any of these things on a regular basis, congratulations, you’re a true Delawarean.
When you grow up with delicious creameries and farm-made ice cream around every corner, dessert just becomes a tradition. Check any freezer in Delaware and you're sure to find local pint.
2. Gathering an irresponsible amount of napkins for your pizza lunch.

Half of Delaware roots for the Eagles, half for the Ravens, and there are some out of place football fans as well. Same goes with the Nationals and Phillies, and plenty of other teams. We'll passionately defend some other state's team because well, we don't get to have any home state fun.
It's not uncommon to roll up on two cars parked in the middle of the street chatting away. Most people will move when they notice a car behind them... but don't lose your patience if it takes a few minutes.
6. Collecting seashells for household decor and craft projects.
Our home brewed, off-center ales pair with anything in the world. Trust us, we've tried all possible combinations and keep coming back to Dogfish.
