The Inn was originally built to be the family estate of a wealthy plumber from Pittsburgh named John Addy. Addy built the home in 1902, and they kept it as a vacation destination. It was relocated twice in the 1920s, due to storm surge threatening the structure. A decade later, the Addy family began to rent out rooms in their home, to help make ends meet during the Great Depression. It became a popular enough destination that the Addy family turned it into a Bed and Breakfast, eventually selling the home and business in the 1970s.
The welcoming foyer offers guests tasty, handmade cakes and cookies, as well as a place to relax by the fireplace and make new friends.

Each of the 13 rooms is compact and tidy, with a jacuzzi tub and comfortable, fluffy bedding. Three of the rooms, though, offer a little more than the usual experience. In Room #1, your bathtub may start to shake for no known reason. In Room 6, you'll enjoy lovely organ music filling the air - until you realize there are no organs on the premises. Many people love room #11, where the jacuzzi tub turns on, and phones turn off.
The Inn's ghost is rumored to be a former employee - Paul Dulaney - who was a star swimmer. Dulaney died out of state, but he returned to his paradise by the sea.

Dulaney's figure has been seen sitting on beds in the haunted rooms, or walking the halls late at night. So keep an eye out - you might just get more than you bargained for at the beautiful, eerie Addy Sea Inn.
