Delaware's Old Fashioned Market Fair Will Make You Feel Like You're Skipping Through Time

Delaware is a state full of history – after all, we were the very first state! Luckily for the history buffs around here, that’s something we’re really proud of, and we show it off in the best possible way. Forget boring lectures in libraries and plaques that get ignored by passersby. In Delaware, we love to show off our history by bringing the past to life. You’re really going to want to check out one of the best Delaware events this fall in Dover!

Every year, the 18th Century Market Fair is hosted by First State Heritage Park! The festival is held on the Green at the heart of Dover, and the festivities commence on November 3rd at 10 a.m. You’re sure to have a blast enjoying the historical fun in our capital city.

If you just can’t wait until November to get your Colonial on, check out Delaware’s very own National Park – most people don’t even know we have one! Between First State Heritage Park and First State National Historical Park, you can have time-traveling fun all year long.
