1. None of us are really from here.

Even though we all love DC, most of us are from somewhere outside of the district and many of us only live here for a few years.
2. We are always in office wear.

DC is definitely not a casual city. We love our suits and are not afraid to dress up and look good.
3. We care about what people do for a living.

Let's face it, DC is a power town and we care where we all work. You will hear the question "So what do you do?" at almost every social gathering you attend.
4. We can’t drive in snow or rain.

Traffic is terrible. People freak out in bad weather and the streets are filled with the sounds of horns every time there is any type of storm.
5. We all despise driving here.

Actually, driving in DC is the worst, no matter what. There’s traffic, there’s construction, the streets are confusing. If you can avoid driving in DC, do it.

There is always so much hope at the beginning of the season, every season. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Redskins, the Capitals, the Nationals, the Wizards or DC United, they are going to break our hearts.
7. We’re big on restaurant trends.

If there’s a new restaurant in town that every critic is raving about, then you are going to hear about it from everyone. There are so many great new restaurants popping up and we love every single one.
8. We are all obsessed with politics.

It’s true. This is a political town and whether we like it or not, it’s a big part of life here. No matter who is in the White House or in the Capitol, Washingtonians will have an opinion on it.
9. Everyone knows someone who works for the government.

10. We really want statehood.

DC is not a state. But we pay taxes. We want representation and someday, we hope to have it.
11. We do believe DC is the best place in the country.
