Just minutes outside of Washington DC is the charming city of Alexandria and it is a must-visit for anyone in or near the DC area. Everyone loves a day trip, afternoon, or evening spent strolling through the historic Old Town district of Alexandria’s cobblestone streets, enjoying their delicious restaurants, views of the Potomac, and charming shops.
Alexandria is an extremely walkable area and King Street, one of the most popular destinations, is a one mile-long area with shops, restaurants, and outdoor cafes.
The free King Street Trolley is the quickest way to explore old town Alexandria. The trolley stops every two blocks.
