The Sweet Lobby is a boutique bakery that calls itself the “ultimate advocate for your sweet tooth.” In addition to macarons, they serve up incredible cupcakes, eclairs, madeleine cookies and shortbread.
The Sweet Lobby is owned by an MIT engineer, Dr. Winette McIntosh Ambrose. This impressive self taught pastry chef rose to fame by winning the Food Networks popular show, Cupcake Wars in 2011.
Upon entering the tiny shop, you will be able to feast your eyes on colorful creations in the display cases. These innovative bakers are always creating new flavorful combinations for their macarons and cupcakes.
The Sweet Lobby rotates their macaron flavors based on the season.
You could enjoy a Green Tea macaron one day, a Blackberry Cabernet the next or a Creole Cacao flavored the next!
Of course, you can also find the standard flavors like chocolate and vanilla if you are a macaron traditionalist.
While you are at the Sweet Lobby picking up some macarons, you will want to try a cupcake or two. They have just as much variety in flavor as the macarons with everything form Sweet Potato Marshmallow to Strawberry Champagne.
And if you happen to love macarons and cupcakes, you can combine the two at The Sweet Lobby. They’ll top your cupcakes with a macaron so you can enjoy the best of both worlds!
