You have probably heard the word eclipse being mentioned quite a bit lately. That is because one of the most rare natural phenomenon is set to hit the country in the next few weeks. This is what you need to know if you’re in DC and want to see the solar eclipse.
The eclipse will take place on Monday, August 21st. It will travel across the country throughout the day and several states and cities will experience complete darkness.
The eclipse will pass through DC around 2:42 pm. You can see exact times using this tool. Wherever you look at the eclipse, be sure to wear protective glasses. You never want to view an eclipse without glasses.
You can pick solar glasses at The National Air and Space Museum. They will be having several different activities throughout the day including live streams of the event throughout the building.
