Is anyone else a little sad that summer is quickly fading into fall? Not that there’s anything wrong with the fall weather, especially in DC. But there’s something so sweet about spending a summer evening at a rooftop restaurant. Luckily there is brand new rooftop restaurant that will make you think it’s all summer long and you need to visit it soon.
Rito Loco is a fast casual burrito shop off of Florida Avenue that is known for its great tacos, wraps and burritos. But they’ve recently expanded into a treehouse themed rooftop restaurant.
Named El Techo, which means "roof" in Spanish, this rooftop restaurant is designed to feel like an "adult treehouse." If you want summer to last forever, this is your spot.
The restaurant is positioned beside a large tree so you actually do feel like you’re situated up inside of a tree. They’ve also decorated with hibiscus flowers and herbs.
The owners wanted to create tropical and whimsical experience. You could even forget that you’re not in South Florida while you’re sipping a margarita underneath the leafy green trees.
You can find El Techo on top of Rito Loco at 606 Florida Ave NW. They are open Thursday-Sunday. On the weekdays, they open at 5pm and on the weekends they are open for brunch.
Keep summer going strong for as long as you can at this fun new rooftop restaurant! And don’t miss out on any of the other fantastic rooftop restaurants and see our list of the best rooftops here!
