Some of the best Chinese food is in a place where many DC residents don’t go. It's in a small, budget motel in Northeast DC.
Finding the restaurant can be tricky. The address is 2700 New York Avenue NE and it’s on the left side of the street. You have to make a U-turn at the sign for the Washington Times building and take the service road back to the restaurant.
Once you do arrive at the restaurant you can park in the parking lot off to the side and enter through the restaurant entrance on the side of the hotel.
There’s two menus you can choose from, the Chinese American menu and the Szechuan Chef’s Special menu. If you are in the know, then you can ask for all entirely Chinese secret menu which has a few more items.
The next time you are craving some authentic Chinese food head off the beaten path. Enjoy a trip to Panda Gourmet. It will be the best food you’ve ever had at a Days Inn, we promise!
