From pumpkin patches to apple festivals and historic reenactments, everything you need for fall is at these best fall festivals.

The Barracks Row Fall Festival aims to bend urban city life with small town fairs. There’s nothing quite like anywhere else in the city. There’s food, games and performances that the whole family will love. The Festival takes place on September 23rd.

The 48th Annual Graves Mountain Apple Harvest Festival is a fun, free event in October. There are arts and crafts vendors, pony rides, arts and crafts vendors and plenty of apple orchards for apple picking. The festival takes place on weekends in October. Graves Mountain is located on Rt. 670 in Syria, VA.

You can celebrate the season going back in time at Mount Vernon Fall Harvest Days. There are wagon rides, early-American style games, a straw bale maze and plenty of historic demonstrations. The festival takes place at Mount Vernon on October 21-22.

Claude Moore Farm is a living history museum located in McLean Virginia, just outside of DC. On the farm, they reenact what life was like in 1771.
