Travel back in time this fall! Every year the Maryland Renaissance Festival recreates a 16th-century English Tudor village. There are live performances on eight different stages, street performances, a jousting arena and fun for all ages. The Festival takes place at Anne Arundel Fairgrounds and is open on weekends from August 26th through October 22nd.

Skyline Drive is a 100-mile drive straight through the gorgeous Virginia countryside and Shenandoah National Park. It’s surrounded by beautiful overlooks, oak trees, and endless fall foliage. You can access Skyline Drive from Front Royal, VA.

Haunt is the most frightful time of the year at Kings Dominion. The park transforms into a creepy spectacular with frightful shows, haunted mazes and plenty of scare zones. It’s definitely one for an older crowd!

Art on the Avenue is a fun festival celebrating the unique Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria. There are four music stages with performers throughout the day, a variety of delicious food offerings, over 300 artists selling their art and the famous pie baking contest. The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad takes visitors on a roundtrip train ride through the fall foliage in Western Maryland. The ride takes you through the stunning Alleghenny Mountain and over iron true bridges, offering scenic views of the countryside.

Milburn Orchards in Elkton Maryland hosts "U-Pick Apple Adventures" through the end of October. Hop on a wagon ride into the orchards and pick as many apples as you wan through the orchard and then stop into the market for an apple cider donut!
